Summary

Chapter 7

Tris decides to hide the hard drive in the same place as before, thinking that Peter won’t look in the same place twice. She skips dinner and returns to the apple orchard where she sits in a tree. While in the tree, Tris spots a team of Erudite approaching the compound. Tris runs to the cafeteria to warn the others.

Tris and her group are wearing Amity clothing which helps them to avoid detection. The group pretends to be citizens of Amity and adopts their posture, gait, and fun loving actions. It all feels very strange to Tris. Back in the cafeteria, Johanna makes an announcement. She states that the Erudite and Dauntless 'guests' that have just arrived are looking for some people.
