Yvette “Evie” Antoinette Thomas

Evie is an eighteen-year-old, high school senior. Evie is struggling with her parents’ recent divorce and has become jaded about love. Once a lover of romance novels, Evie decides to donate all of her romance novels to a Little Free Library. After doing so, Evie discovers that she has an unwelcome power to see the entire history of a couple. Evie believes she is cursed to see every relationship end in heartbreak.

In an effort to understand and, perhaps, get rid of her visions, Evie enrolls in a dance class and meets X. Evie recognizes X in the context of a romantic leading man and fights her attraction to him. While dancing together, Evie gets to know X and falls in love with him. Once Evie is finally able to admit that she is in love with X, Evie learns that X will die soon...
