Summary
In Chapter 61, Mitsuki considered how she had wanted her mother to die. She wondered if there were other women like her who had wanted their mothers to die because they wanted freedom from duty but also did not want to see what old age would do to them. Mitsuki remembered all of the bleak times, not the happy ones. When Natsuki called she was worried about Mitsuki and the sort of life she would lead. Natsuki pointed out that Mitsuki did not enjoy teaching and said her situation was pitiful.
In Chapter 62, Mitsuki drew for her sister a picture in which she could make even the most dreary apartment cheerful with bright fabrics and decorations. She said she was looking forward to living in her own space without a man. She could do what she wanted when she wanted.
