Summary

In Chapter 10, after Esther writes "she" on Heaven's wall, Esther thinks about forgiveness. Tom tells her she needs God's forgiveness, but it is her mother's, Hannah's, Amit's, and her baby's forgiveness she wants. About to pass out from anxiety, Esther's friends try to comfort her. She tells them she feels she is damned for her mistake. Her friends tell her she is not damned. They make a plan to meet up at HuggaMug the following week. Esther's mom picks her up.

In Chapter 11, Hannah and Tom watch Les Misérables together. Hannah guards her Bible and excludes Esther. In Ohio, Esther's town ostracized and judged her when they discovered her pregnancy. She feels just as shut out by her own family. Hannah still blames Esther for ruining her life, and forcing their family to move. Esther feels guilty, but she feels she has...
