Summary

In Chapter 32, the Moose continue to play against all-white teams, although the white Canadians continue to act hostile towards the Moose. One day, the Moose are invited to a competitive tournament in which all of the other teams are all-white teams. In the tournament, the Moose consistently win games, but the other teams consistently attempt to hit and hurt Saul. Saul does not fight back, and instead he simply outskates the other players. The Moose win the entire tournament.

In Chapter 33, after the tournament, Saul is somewhat inured to the violence dealt by the other teams on the ice. Many newspapers report the outcome of the tournament, further publicizing the reputation of the Moose. One day, a scout from a professional hockey team arrives at Manitouwadge.
