Chapter 27: Speaker

Meuric asks what Ana is doing in the temple. He had seen her enter it and has come to help her. There are dragons and sylph outside. They had never attacked at the same time before. Meruic tells her she'll be safe at home with Li. Meuric doesn't know why the room had turned upside down. She asks him if Janan is in the temple. Meruic confirms that he was. Ana asks why Janan told her that she had been a mistake. Meuric doesn't know.

Dossam thinks that Ana was a gift. Janan never lies, Meuric tells Ana. Her answers are not in the temple. But she has been a lot of trouble for the Council. She could live forever in the temple and not be hungry or thirsty. Isn't that what she wants, he asks, to live forever...
