Chapter 13: Faces

Ana realized there was a lot to see in Heart. Sam promised she could see everything after she finished her training. Sam led Ana into the meeting room of the Council. Meuric rose to greet them. He asked Ana how she liked Heart so far. She responded that she thought it was lovely. Sam reported that he was teaching Ana piano and that Stef was teaching her to dance. Armande planned to teach her to bake. Sine offered to help Ana with poetry. Sam told the Council that it was tough for Ana because people were already gossiping about her. Looking at the Council and knowing how old they really were made Ana wonder if she'd have the same feelings for Sam in one of his other incarnations. She hated that she saw Sam's first grave.
