In Chapter 29, Claudia is talking with the Warden when he tells her that everything will be alright no matter what happens. It is here that Claudia realizes that he is a memeber of the Steel Wolves. The Warden warns her to be silent but tells her that he has come to love her. Claudia goes to retrieve the key for the Warden. She tells Finn she is sorry but there is no gate to get out when Attia tells Claudia that the Warden is not her father. In the books on the ship Attia had seen Claudias and found that Claudia was born in Incarceron but had been pulled out when she was a baby.
