In Chapter 19, when Rob finally went to Knocknaree to get his car, he watched the archaeologists working. Mark criticized one for taking a smoke break, and the worker made a lewd gesture with his trowel, a gesture that triggered Rob’s memory. Rob suddenly realized the trowel was the key to the case.
