Summary
In Chapter 7: “Ocean Falls,” Zada visits Ocean Falls, a former pulp and paper mill community in British Columbia that now houses a mere few dozen residents and has the feel of an abandoned, eerie town. Unlike in the Indigenous communities surrounding Ocean Falls which Zada has already visited and described, in Ocean Falls the predominantly white settler community has little to no stories of Sasquatch sightings and is in general dismissive of Zada’s quest. At the local saloon, Zada is met with skepticism and mockery, though the saloon-keeper, Bob, does admit to having seen tiny footprints resembling those of the young Sasquatch Zada thinks he saw earlier on his trip. Several other residents of Ocean Falls even claim to believe in ghosts and supernatural activity in the town, but their belief does not extend to the existence...
