Summary
A therapist interviews Leigh, who seems irritated but speaks about her father’s abuse, starting when she was 9 years old, although she insists the information is not relevant to the mission. The therapist has learned Leigh’s mom is declining through reading her emails, a bit of surveillance the therapist reminds Leigh she consented to. In the accommodation compound Leigh and her crew mates are not allowed to leave, they develop a rotation in the bunk room so that each can talk to their families privately, but Leigh puts off talking to hers. They sign more contracts, including the provision of a post-mission quarantine with no fixed length just in case they bring back something that would be harmful to other humans.
