Summary

Three days after the dive Leigh still feels groggy and can’t hold food down. Finally, she feels better and learns that the other divers had the same symptoms —nausea, loss of balance, fever and delirium. They want to dive again, but the doctor on board the ship wants to do another medical exam first. Stefan, the mission’s captain, ushers them into the theater where he urges them not to cause too much alarm by oversharing about their symptoms. The divers feel a compulsion to get into the water again.

The divers go on more exhilarating dives. Meanwhile, the submersible keeps getting stuck and the video it sends back gives the scientists little information.
