Chapter 73-78, Conner to Vanessa Summary
In Chapter 73, as the snow melts and the weather warms, Conner begins running outside. Tony runs with him. Tony has gone to visit his father, a requirement for wilderness camp. The visit went well enough, and Conner dreads going home to his parents. Tony asks about Conner's political affiliation, and Conner decides he's a Democrat. Tony applauds him.
In Chapter 74, though his father did his best to make him feel welcome, Tony recalls feeling as if he was alone in Tahoe. At group therapy, Dr. Starr asks the kids what they will do when they leave Aspen Springs. Stanley says he will find a girl, and exposes himself. Everyone is shocked. Vanessa steps between Stanley and Dr. Starr, and Stanley threatens to take out Vanessa. Then Conner positions himself between Vanessa and Stanley, as Tony...
