Chapter 20 Summary

Eve cannot let go of the case. According to her supervisors, Jerry is guilty of murder and drugs make it more plausible. The public eats it up. Eve refuses to believe it. Roarke is fascinated with her ability to continue to focus and stick with a case even after it is officially closed. He appeases her by listening to her as she reviews the case yet again. Roarke gives Eve information that a second Immortal Blossom had been ordered, and Eve immediately gives orders for that florist to be questioned. This is the night before their wedding. Mavis, finally, gets Eve to go with her to Crack's Down and Dirty Club for a girls' bachelor party. In attendance are Nadine Furst, Dr. Mira, Peabody, Trina, and Mavis.
