Chapter 11 Summary
With the information coming in seeming to be more frustrating than determining, Eve realizes that she needs to return to the streets, alone, to see just what she can discover. At the Down and Dirty Club in the East End, she approaches Crack, the huge black owner whose face is covered with tattoos and who wears a pink loincloth with a feathered vest for work apparel. He teases Eve about becoming one of his dancers. Eve knows he is teasing. She understands men like Crack, it is a part of her life where she is very comfortable. She questions Crack about Boomer's last time in the club. Crack remembers the snitch had left very much afraid, but he has no memory of who might have frightened him.
