Point of View

The novel is narrated from the very close first-person perspective of Georgia, who is the protagonist of the novel. The perspective of the novel is of central importance to the goal of the novel, which strives to present an imperfect victim of sexual violence without pulling any punches. Georgia is a very naïve, reckless, and—Nora might even say—“stupid” character. She is obsessed with her own beauty and her biggest dream in life is to work as an Aspera Girl even though she does not know what an Aspera Girl is. She falls for all the lies and grooming of both Cleo and Matthew without ever doubting or questioning them because she loves how beautiful and wealthy they both are.
