Summary

In Chapter 22, Lena tells Campbell not to worry because the insurance money will surely pay for a new store, but Campbell sobs and yells at Lena, telling her she does not understand. Lena looks outside and sees a news reporter speaking into a camera. A man runs up and grabs the camera, then tosses it onto the ground. Lena tells Campbell they have to leave. Campbell wants to stay and protect what is left of the store although Lena tells her their lives are more important than material items and demands that they get out of the area before someone attacks them or the police arrive and arrest or kill them. Campbell tells Lena to leave without her since all she cares about is her boyfriend. Lena, furious, turns to leave out the broken window.
