Summary

Nick wakes up to find himself in a different reality than he’s used to. He is six inches shorter and blond, and possesses none of his preternatural demon powers. He is at a prom, possibly in the future but the fashion looks like the past. All of his friends are just as human as Nick is, and none of them looks the same as he’s used to. Caleb and Simi are a couple, and Casey is Nick’s girlfriend. Acheron Parthenopaeus, an 11,000-year-old immortal, is just an ordinary teenager in this reality. Nick learns his father (who just died in his reality) is alive and best friends with Caleb’s father (though the demon Caleb doesn’t have a father in Nick’s reality). Even Nick’s name is different.
