Summary

Through AIDAN's perspective on page 498, Kady runs from hundreds of bloodthirsty infected. As others damage the server room, AIDAN can no longer predict when the Lincoln will arrive. It sends Kady to the elevator shaft so she can reach defense grid control. Kady is forced to run as the infected arrive, but one catches her. AIDAN locates a recording of the attacker's daughter, distracting him long enough for Kady to slip away. AIDAN begins to remind all the infected of their families, causing many to collapse or attack each other. AIDAN itself experiences an error, and blacks out.

On page 508, AIDAN reboots two hours later as Kady barricades herself in the room. To Kady's horror, the Lincoln is only 20 minutes away, making it impossible to reconfigure the defense grid in time. AIDAN tells Kady how to use the weapons manually, and her rage...
