Summary

On page 401, Kady messages Ezra about Dorian's death, but says she dropped the gun and refuses to find another one. Ezra says he is proud and sends her an image of her made of her name in grayscale. The two promise they will be together soon.

In surveillance footage on page 408, Kady moves toward the server core. There, she finds a crazed Zhang destroying AIDAN with an ax. He announces he has to kill Kady so she cannot reboot the AI. He demands she stop looking at him as she runs. Zhang gives chase, but she does not shoot him. In a moment of clarity, Zang kills himself so he will not hurt her.

Page 417 returns to AIDAN after Zhang’s death wishing it could hold the grieving Kady. When she calls for Ezra, it is revealed that AIDAN has been impersonating Ezra...
