Summary

In a conversation on page 244, Ezra mentions the first time he dreamed of kissing Kady, but was too scared to do it. Kady admits that she struggled to understand his intentions and Ezra laments the time he wasted. Then, he reveals that he and his father were hiding from Ezra's psychopathic mother, Leanne, but does not go into detail about what she has done. After telling Kady that his flight status has been reinstated, they wish each other goodbye and hope it is not the last time.
