Summary
Lorenzo and Monica went to the airport to change his ticket home. While there, Lorenzo observed all the Italian businessmen arriving – the older ones arrogant like Anselmi, and the younger ones oblivious to their surroundings (173 – 174). On page 177 he went to the warehouse, where Anselmi’s men were attacking a teenage boy, who escaped and ran off. They had caught the boy painting “Long Live Ceauşescu” on the building (178). The workers washed it off, and Anselmi led Lorenzo to the office to discuss Lula’s company shares again. Lorenzo refused to sell them and walked out, leaving Anselmi furious. Outside, the workers had fully removed the graffiti, and further down the road Lorenzo spotted the culprit attempting to hitchhike.
