Chapter 4 Summary
The bus is halfway to Boston when Smithy remembers a conversation she has with Nonny, her father's mother. She asked Nonny if her mother was doing the right thing in choosing to have Tris over having chemo. Smithy remembers the picketers surrounding their house accusing her mother of committing suicide. When the bus arrives t the museum, Smithy catches a cab to the train station and buys a ticket home.
The day care director is telling Jack about the docudrama when jack tells her to have a good weekend and that he and Tris are off to a soccer game. Jack straps Tris in the kiddie seat on the back of his bike and takes the same back roads he took in to escape his aunt and producer.
