Summary
Drew was frightened that his old neurotic thoughts that bombarded his writing process with dozens of different ways that he ought to phrase his current sentence would be back, but he was still writing ten pages a day and every time he got stuck the word came to him within a few moments. As the storm got closer, Lucy begged him again to come home, and he again refused. She hung up on him for the first time in their marriage. He tried to write, but he could not decide which words to use. He felt horribly sick, and considered going home, but knew if he did that then he would lose the book entirely. He decided to take a nap and figure out what to do after.
