Summary
"The Life of Chuck" is split into three acts. "In Act III: Thanks, Chuck!" Marty Anderson was driving home from the high school where he worked when he saw a billboard on top of the Midwest Trust building. The billboard showed a middle-aged accountant sitting at a desk. The message "CHARLES KRANTZ. 39 GREAT YEARS! THANKS, CHUCK!" (92). Marty sat and pondered the billboard as he waited in the terrible traffic. The internet was down and so were most of the roads. The whole world, in fact, seemed to be slowly crumbling. When Marty got home, his ex-wife, Felicia, called him just to check in. They had started getting along much better after their divorce, and were now dear friends. Marty made dinner and went to see if he could get Netflix to work. It started to, but then the internet cut out...
