Chapters 16-18 Summary

In Chapter 16, Lucy makes it to Connor's basketball game just in time. When she makes her way up the stands to her seat with Jessica and Madison, she can see that they are excited and aren't interested in paying attention to the game. Jessica tells Lucy that they are going to be the only three sophomore girls invited to the prom and Madison says that they will be invited tonight after the game by their boyfriends. Excited, the girls watch the rest of the game and, when Glen Lake loses, they decide to get something to eat while the boys have time to grieve their loss. Afterwards, the girls head to the party and, when they arrive, Lucy sees that the entire school seems to be there and everyone is celebrating, despite their loss.
