Point of View

The novel alternates between four different narrators: Ara, Kyuri, Wonna, and Miho. Each woman narrates one chapter in the present-tense, and the chapters alternate between the women in an even matter. There are 14 chapters, so the narrators are cycled through in the order listed above three complete times, and then Ara and Kyuri each get an additional chapter at the end. The additional chapters, and the fact that Ara starts the novel and Kyuri finishes the novel, place these two characters slightly higher in significance than the other women.
