Ara

Ara is a young woman in her early 20's. She grows up in Cheongju as the only daughter of an elderly couple. Her mother is a maid and her father is a chauffeur, and they both worked for the same family, who lived in a huge, beautiful mansion. Ara’s mother and father met and fell in love while at work. When they got married, their employer built them a small house at the back of the property so they could live together.

In middle school, Ara starts hanging out with the “bad kids” since she has no academic ambitions. She meets Sujin while working at a cart selling sweet potatoes. Sujin convinces Ara to join a gang so they can be on top of the social ladder during their senior year.
