Summary
In "Now Why Come That Is?", Percy wakes up, convinced a hog is in his bedroom. When he tells his wife, she dismisses him. Frustrated, Percy feels desperate to prove the hog that has been visiting him for months is real. Initially, Percy believed the hog's appearance was caused by someone else's negligence. Yet as its appearances accrued without validation from others, the situation began to feel "a little spooky" (175). Whenever Percy yelled at or chased the hog, it would disappear.
