Vogt Elementary
Aunt Angelina works at Vogt Elementary as a teacher. It is also Finny and Autumn’s school and represents the happiest days of their lives.
McClure High
Autumn starts McClure High off on the wrong foot: “I wanted to be popular and date a soccer player—that's what’s cool at McClure High instead of football—and everything that went along with staying in The Clique. But I couldn’t make up my own routine and perform it alone for tryouts, so that was that” (19). Autumn’s trajectory from popular girl to outcast sets her on a different path than Finny. For them, high school creates even more distance between them than middle school as their identities revolve around their friend groups.
Finny’s house
Finny lives with his mother, Angelina, in a duplex on Church Street in Ferguson. They are neighbours with Autumn.
