Before Summary
This novel was originally written and published in the 1970s under a pseudonym and the name Prison of Ice. In the 1990s, fans of Dean Koontz asked him to republish some of his old books that were no longer available for purchase. Dean Koontz took those books, including this one, and updated them, improved the storylines, and republished them under his own name. This book is unique because its plot is like nothing Dean Koontz ever attempted before and one that he tells readers in a note at the end of the novel that he never intends to attempt again.
