Act One: Snow Flight: Chapter Two: Cat and Mouse Summary
At the Omega Drift Station, Captain Perry takes a small group of men to a group of fifteen huts with ski-doos and snow cats out front. None of the scientists who gathered there now were aware of the horror he and his men found at the heart of the ice station, and he had immediately quarantined and declared the area off limits. It still bothered him. Only Dr. Amanda Reynolds, who was with him at the time, was aware and she was also deeply shaken. The movement that had shown up on their Deep Eye sonar had not yet been discovered. Erik Gustof, a Canadian meteorologist, hurries them along with warnings of a coming storm.
