Baek Sehee
Baek Sehee is the writer of the book and the narrator throughout. In Korean naming custom, the family name is placed before the given name and the writer refers to herself by her given name, Sehee, throughout the book. At the time of the book's opening, Sehee is a twenty-something young woman living in Seoul and working as the social media manager for a large publishing company. She suffers from persistent mild depression, which she decides to treat using a combination of therapy, with the recorded therapy sessions making up most of the book, and also medication, which she finds helpful despite the side effect.
