Chapter 7: "Regulating, Judging, Being Disappointed, Leaving" again opens with the dialogue right away, with Sehee telling the psychiatrist that she had a falling out with her new friend, after the friend expressed a negative opinion about a book Sehee loaned her, which caused Sehee to lash out with anger, calling her friend “arrogant and exhausting.” Sehee acknowledges that she overacted, but also wonders why she was so intent on pursuing a friendship that was never going to be successful.
