Summary
Chapter 2, entitled “Am I a Pathological Liar?”, begins with Sehee explaining that she often lies to the point that she cannot keep track of her own lies, and lives in fear that she will be found out. Sehee’s deep sense of empathy for others sometimes makes her lie to pretend she has shared similar experiences to the people around her, simultaneously feeling guilt for lying. Sehee tried to be more truthful, however after one drunken night out she lied to a friend, causing her deep shame.
