Summary

Dr. Calvin tells the reporter how when she returned to Earth after identifying the modified robot she learned that US Robots’ chief competitor, Consolidated, might be close to beating them to completing the first Hyperatomic Drive. At a meeting with the head of US Robots, Dr. Calvin learned that Consolidated had a supercomputer like their own, the Brain, that was destroyed when they fed it a problem that could not be solved. Now Consolidated had come to them and asked to use their Brain to solve the same problem. The head of US Robots seemed to think that Consolidated blew up their supercomputer and now hoped to blow up US Robots’ Brain to keep things even.
