Beth Waldorf
Blair Waldorf is a wealthy, privileged girl who lives in Manhattan and attends an exclusive private school. Blair will be graduating and has interviewed at Yale but feels she did not do well at her orals. Her future lies in the balance. She has no idea if she'll be accepted at Yale or, for that matter, anywhere else. She is not happy at home. She doesn't like her step-father and her mother is seven-months pregnant with a little girl which Blair finds embarrassing.
Since Blair will be away at school, her mother starts redecorating Blair's room for the new arrival without even discussing it with Blair. Blair is hurt by her mother's disregard for her feelings.
