Summary

In Chapter 21, Chloe arrives for the last week of school and notices a commotion in the hallway. Someone has plastered hundreds of pages of Principal Wheeler’s emails all across the hall. Some of them show evidence that the principal was involved in admissions scams to help the children of wealthy parents willing to pay bribes cheat their way through SAT and ACT tests. Another email shows that Principal Wheeler had Ms. Rodkey raise Shara’s grade in AP Language Arts during junior year. This delights Chloe because it means that Shara is disqualified from being valedictorian. Chloe is curious about who has destroyed the Wheeler reputation, so she asks Rory, and he admits that he noticed suspicious emails while they were breaking into the principal’s office.
