Summary

In Chapter Six, Chloe goes with Smith to Dixon Wells’ house party because that is the last place Smith and Shara kissed. Chloe sneaks off alone and finds one of Shara’s letters hidden in a bookshelf. It contains a picture of Shara and Smith. The note says that, although they looked happy, Shara knew in that moment that they were not going to “make it to Graduation.” Then, the note says that Rory should check the records, and Chloe should know where they are. It ends by stating that the key is there, “Where I am” (78). Chloe runs back to find Smith, but he is talking to his friend Summer about how he is uncertain of his identity.
