Summary
On his way to the hospice the next day, Hans passes Trump Tower, which is “crowded with NYPD” (53). Finn is convinced Trump will lose and the mayhem will dissipate. Afterwards, he visits Tiffany's, hoping to replace the broken glass. The salesperson says the glass is from Pottery Barn.
Finn returns to the hospice. Max is asleep. Finn turns the World Series back on and Max wakes up. Max says he is okay with dying as he does not want to live in a world where Trump is president (55). Finn thinks Max is being pessimistic. Then Sigrid texts Finn. Whenever his phone buzzes, Finn worries something is wrong with Lily. Finn tells Sigrid he is in New York with Max. Sigrid insists there is an emergency and he must come home.
Apologizing to Max and promising to return, Finn leaves the hospice. He feels...
