Chapter 31 "To Be A Man" Summary
Adam is in Mr. Quat's office. Mr. Quat talks about the 60s and protests and how the protest that was Stand Up Straight for Gay Day was fairly mild. He noticed that Adam was there and that Adam is not gay. Mr. Quat tells him that that showed courage. He then asks Adam to talk about the Johanssen case. Adam begins by giving some background. He tells Mr. Quat about the Millennial Mutants and how they worked hard to take over the Wave, and then he tells him about his background and how he needs two jobs to stay at school because he did not get a scholarship.
