Chapter 5 "You the Man" Summary
Vance wants to have a serious talk with Hoyt about the event at the Grove. Hoyt knows that Vance is scared and rather than listening, he lets his mind wander. He is taking a course on Europe in the Middle Ages and his professor has told them that there were only three classes of people: warriors, clergy, and slaves. Most times the leader was a warrior. He thinks about his dad who had been in an elite force in the military and was in finances in New York. Then, as it turned out, his father was a con man who disappeared and was never seen again.
