Elizabeth Nyamayaro
Elizabeth Nyamayaro narrates I Am a Girl from Africa. Nyamayaro is smart, hard-working, and humble. She also came very close to dying of starvation as a young child. She was fed by the girl in the blue uniform (a United Nations aid worker), and all she wants to do now is to be exactly like this aid worker and serve the vulnerable in Africa and around the globe. She was extremely close to her grandmother (Gogo), for her grandmother took her and raised her when her mother and father left Goromonzi to search for food and money.
Nyamayaro slowly works her way up the ladder at the United Nations. She became known for championing women's rights and for her HeForShe project which also concentrates on the welfare of all women.
