Nephilim
Nephilim are a race of half-angels, half-mortals. The origin is Biblical in nature. The story of the angels falling from heaven is legendary. Supposedly the angels sent to watch over the Garden of Eden became lustful and hungry for power; seeking to rule what lay beyond the boundaries of Eden. Because they defied their earthly purpose, the angels were stripped of their wings. When the fallen angles mated with mortal women, they created a hybrid race known as Nephilim. The Nephilim are half-angel, half-mortal. They are immortal and cannot be killed except under certain circumstances. Although they walk among the mortal world, they are often in danger of being destroyed. Nora is the descendant of Chauncey, the main Nephilim in the story. In order to become completely mortal, Chauncey must destroy a human vassal. Chauncey has chosen Nora. Chauncey must also kill Patch.
