Tilla

Tilla is the 18-year-old daughter of Tyson and Marie who boards a plane to Jamaica with her little sister, Mia. Tilla has spent a lot of the previous years angry with her father for several reasons: Tyson does not live with them full time; Tyson and Marie so often fight; and, her father does not offer the level of love she craves. Tilla has seen her father leave their home in Canada repeatedly over the years, staying with them only for brief periods before returning to Jamaica. She has always taken that personally because of how it makes her feel. During the time in Jamaica, she sees very little of Tyson, and she discovers he has a girlfriend and a young son.
