Summary
Robin tells Morrie of her plan to find Nomsa in Chapter 53. She reasons that if Nomsa and Beauty are reunited, she will have made things right again. Morrie is silent for a long time until he asks her how he intends to find Nomsa when everyone else had been looking for her for over a year without any luck. He comments that if they find someone who speaks Xhosa to read Nomsa’s letter, it may have clues in it.
Robin notices that the other girl in the photograph is not standing in the shade, so the patches on her face are not from leaves but are actually birthmarks. She then remembers that she had seen the same girl at the shebeen, and at the police station when her parents were first killed. She reasons that Phumla might help her because she helped...
