Summary

At the beginning of Chapter 37, Beauty has returned home after Christmas and Robin is glad to have her home. She tells Beauty about what happened to Johan and that he is in the hospital. She asks Beauty about her husband and asks if she misses him to which Beauty replies that she does, and muses that it took her a long time to come to terms with her grief and despair. Beauty tries to reassure Robin that not all black men are bad and that her husband was a very good man. She describes how even before he died, he was not the same person as he was in earlier times.
