Summary
It is Nomsa’s birthday in Chapter 19, and instead of celebrating, Beauty and Andile are waiting in a queue outside the morgue, waiting for their turn to see if her body has turned up. Andile goes off to talk to someone and returns saying that a boy named Asanda has seen Nomsa and Phumla with a particular man quite frequently. He tells Beauty that they will send someone to check and Beauty feels hopeful. Hours pass and Beauty watches families go into the morgue and come out crying. When it is eventually her turn, she goes inside and is treated very rudely by the policeman behind the desk.
