This setting is where Hiccup's tribe lives. The island is inhospitable most of the year. The snows make it extremely cold and that cold gives way to deep mud and rain in the spring. There are a series of caves where the wild dragons live and Hiccup's people live in a village nearby. There are several places along the coast where events take place, including the beach where the Dragon Test is held as part of the Thor’sday Thursday celebration.
