Summary
The next chapter is titled “London, now.” Tom thinks about that kiss in the orchard, struggling under the intensity of feelings. Tom makes time to talk to Anton. Tom says Anton does not have control over everything but needs to be careful of the choices he can control. Tom talks about the excitement of theater during Shakespeare's time. Anton says, “You almost sound like you were there” (154). Tom feels excitement at being so close to the truth and says “I knew Shakespeare.” Anton laughs as he leaves the room.
